Chicago-based progressive metal hybrid BORN OF OSIRIS will release their third full-length albumy titled, “Discovery“, on March 22, 2011 via Sumerian Records. This CD was recorded at Studio BOTA in Lake In the Hills, Illinois and mixed by Jason Suecof (ALL THAT REMAINS, Trivium, DEVILDRIVER).
The guitarist Lee McKinney: “I must start by saying this new album is heavier than anything the band has ever released We have moved to a seven string and can not praise the better we sound We’re bringing back ‘BOO-bounce’ .. this one. This is definitely an album is really fun and upbeat Also, the addition of our new guitar player, Jason Richardson, has increased the amount of damage in this album .. There are some guitar solos really amazing on this album from our second. It takes the band to the level new from the musicality of this album contains an awesome mix of our heaviest, most technical, most of the atmosphere and the most beautiful melodies ever .. ”
BORN OF OSIRIS is preparing to co-headline the third annual “Atticus Metal” tour to the darkest. AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK and THE HUMAN ABSTRACT rounds out the bill of stars. Sleeping Giant will be the band’s companion on all West Coast dates and look for other special appetizers at other events depending on their area concerts.
BORN OF OSIRIS sophomore album, “A Higher Place”, came out in 2009. This CD was recorded at Planet Z in Hadley, Massachusetts with producer Chris “Zeuss” Harris, who previously worked with Hatebreed, SHADOWS FALL, THE ACACIA STRAIN and Whitechapel, and many other famous bands.
